Enporion Biannual Customer Council Meets on End-to-End e-Procurement Solutions

Tampa, FL – July 14, 2008 – Enporion, a leading provider of supply chain solutions and professional services, held its biannual Customer Council meeting at the end of June in Boise, Idaho. The Customer Council is one of the ways Enporion gains valuable customer input for product enhancements and company strategy as well as providing its customers with the most recent developments in supply chain solutions and outlook for the future.

Andrew Bartels, Vice President of Research, Forrester Research, delivered an overview of e-procurement with his presentation titled “Squeezing More Value From Your e-Purchasing Efforts.”   This report provided recommendations on applying technology solutions to specific portions of a typical eight-step spend management process that would yield the optimal return on investment.  Examples discussed included automated spend analysis, contract life-cycle management (CLM), and electronic invoice presentment and payment (EIPP).  The presentation is available to supply chain professionals at the newly redesigned Enporion website (www.enporion.com).

“The most important aspect of Enporion’s Supply Chain Management solution is our ability to deliver an integrated, end-to-end e-Procurement system from a single vendor; everything we offer was developed by Enporion’s technology team,” said Michael Grohman, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Enporion.  “And our customers provide ongoing input to the integration process as we continue to enhance the solution; that’s an important part of the Customer Council process.”

Other topics included spend analytics, strategic sourcing, commodity price trends, an update on the new D.O.E. rule regarding distribution transformers, and compliance. The Council concluded with roundtables for sharing best practices. The next Council meeting will be held in November in Tampa, Florida.

Enporion Successfully Completes Type II SAS 70 Audit on Supply Chain Solutions

Tampa, Fla. — May 8, 2008 — Enporion, a leading provider of sourcing and procurement solutions and services, successfully completed a SAS 70 audit, an independent auditor’s review of its e-commerce supply chain management hosted solutions.  The audit covered Enporion's supply chain management services for sourcing and procurement, which enables hundreds of utility, manufacturing and other companies to electronically conduct supply chain transactions with each other. The auditor's unqualified opinion noted no exceptions during the audit and that Enporion has established effectively designated control objectives and activities.

“This audit of our operations to gain the SAS 70 approval demonstrates that we are providing trusted, secure supply chain management solutions for our customers,” said George Gordon, Chairman and CEO of Enporion, “and that we strive to exceed expectations by achieving a higher level assurance of our solutions, which in turn strengthens our customers’ operations.”

The Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70, Service Organizations, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is an in-depth audit of a service organization's control objectives and activities, including controls over information technology and related processes. Application services providers (ASPs) as well as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers, such as Enporion, must demonstrate that they have adequate controls and safeguards in place when hosting or processing customer data.  Enporion underwent the extended Type II SAS audit, which includes detailed testing of controls over an extended audit time period.

Demand for Quick Win Supply Chain Solutions Increasing with Renewed Focus
on Costs

Companies joining existing sourcing agreements realizing significant savings.

Tampa, FL - April 17, 2008 - Enporion, a leading provider of supply chain solutions and services, is now making its "Enporion Sourced Agreements" available for rapid savings results.

Businesses can engage supply chain solutions vendors to do spend analysis, however not all vendors can offer the opportunity to join an existing sourcing agreement such as Enporion provides (www.enporion.com). Current economic conditions of rising commodity prices resulting in shrinking margins, along with a slowing down of demand, have businesses laser-focused on costs and the drivers that impact profitability. New supply chain solutions that focus on speed-to-value are emerging in response to this mix of economic factors. Supply chain technology and service providers have a responsibility to develop these new solutions and to adjust existing offerings to meet today's economic challenges. Enporion now offers low-risk entry via a rapidly executed assessment of spend that can take advantage of current sourcing agreements. Any company with annual revenues of $100 million or more is an excellent candidate to consider this assessment and may realize significant operational cost savings as a result.

"Enporion recently renegotiated its sourcing agreement for office supplies on behalf of all our buyers, and the companies are seeing an average of 18% savings compared to prior pricing," said Keith Stanton, Professional Services at Enporion. "Getting that kind of increased profit from an even larger sales increase would probably be quite difficult in this economy."

The advantages of joining an existing sourcing agreement are numerous. Speed-to-value can be achieved by joining an aggregated sourcing agreement, representing one of the quickest ways to deliver sourcing savings to the bottom line. Over the past few years, e-Procurement customers have sourced hundreds of millions of dollars of spend through Enporion Sourced Agreements. For any company that wants to quickly achieve savings, joining an existing sourcing agreement makes sense. Leveraging an existing agreement can occur as quickly as within a few weeks to start saving.

Recent opportunity assessments for customers conducted by Enporion have led to identifying significant quick win on-going savings opportunities worth several millions of dollars for categories such as office supplies, computer peripherals, MRO, electronic components, and safety equipment. Enporion is able to quickly identify targets for buyers because of the large volume coupled with years of collecting detailed spend data. The experience and analysis of sourcing data make a quick win for any company with total spend of over $50 million highly likely.

If a company has not conducted electronic sourcing or procurement yet, these solutions offer easy-entry to supply chain savings and require only that the company provide aggregate spend data. Spend Analysis and joining an existing sourcing agreement are great ways to start leveraging electronic supply chain solutions and achieve early success, while considering other more deeply integrated business process improvements for the long term.
