Strategic sourcing activities can encompass Spend Analysis and Opportunity Assessment or can commence after the completion of a preliminary assessment of the opportunities that a client may have already conducted. Our consultants are well-versed in the use of analytical tools and Enporion’s solutions and will work with you to develop strategies to address your strategic sourcing plan.
For the material or service category being sourced, Enporion will conduct research on incumbent suppliers, other leading suppliers, and alternative sourcing options. Our knowledge of the marketplace and its offerings helps to focus our research to the actionable options and lets our clients invest the right amount of time and resources into this important step of Strategic Sourcing planning.
Collaborating with End-Users and Suppliers: We have worked with a number of customers in a variety of industries, negotiated with different types of suppliers, and constructed cost-effective “win-win” solutions for clients in a broad range of situations. We understand the importance of working with the right supplier at the correct level of service for the right price. A special point of emphasis is working with the client’s business unit users who may be the primary recipient of the services and materials being sourced. Our expertise and knowledge of in-house sourcing technology tools will allow us to expedite the creation of the RFP/RFQ solicitations and to process the incoming information quickly.
When suppliers are shortlisted for negotiations, Enporion will work with clients in developing the negotiations strategy (including rehearsing for the actual negotiations) for achieving the financial, operational, and strategic objectives of the strategic sourcing effort.
Implementing Contract Management: In our experience, significant value is either gained or lost in the negotiations step. Enporion’s Contract Management Module is built to facilitate the creation, collaboration, and use of pre-approved template or guides for developing and implementing contracts to begin early capture of the benefits of strategic sourcing activities. We will use the Contract Manager to develop and help deliver quality contract documents that lock in the value from the strategic sourcing effort.
